Alyce C. Crowley, 84, passed away on August 28, 2009 at her home.
Alyce was born in Butte, Montana on July 21, 1925 to Louisa and Frank Donovan. Alyce married Francis A. “Bud” Crowley on June 13, 1947 in Butte, Montana, at Saint Ann’s Church.
Alyce and Bud moved to Salt Lake City in 1972 where she was active in Newcomers, Friends Unlimited, and various bridge and pinochle clubs. She was a member of St Thomas More Church.
Alyce was a Homemaker, and a volunteer for various charities. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, gathering with friends and family. She loved attending her grandkids sports and events.
Alyce is survived by her loving husband Bud, daughters and their families, Terry and Neil Stack, Ryan, Tyler and Aiden; Kathy Hamby (David – deceased) and Melissa; Maureen and Doug Woodley, Carson and Cullen. Also surviving brother Frank Donovan (Pat) and numerous nieces and nephews, cousin and in-laws.
Alyce was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Catherine Sweat Massy, Mary Louise Skender, brother Tommy Donovan.
Visitation will be held at St Thomas More Catholic Church, Friday, September 4th at 7:00PM, Vigil Service beginning at 8:00PM.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saturday, September 5th at 11:00AM at St Thomas More, 3015 E Creek Rd, Sandy, UT, 84093, and reception to follow at Church Social Center.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Alyce’s honor to Alzheimer’s Association, 855 E 4800 S Ste 100, Salt Lake City, UT 84107 or St Thomas More Building Fund (address above).
