Angelica Marie Rice
Our sweet and much loved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, & friend Angelica Marie Rice passed away on June 23rd 2013. Although she was so young, she brightened many days and touched many, many lives. She truly leaves this world a much better place. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.
Angel was due to be born on Christmas Day but was joyfully welcomed on December 12th 1991 in West Jordan, UT to her adoring parents Robert John Rice and Sherrie Allred Rice. Angel's service will be held on the 15th anniversary of the passing of her beloved father Robert. She now joins him in watching over their loved ones from above.
Angel was a truly beautiful person, inside and out. Angel's inner beauty shone through her infectious giggle, dimpled smile and magnificent green eyes. Angel especially enjoyed the holidays, happily decorating her home to celebrate every occasion. Angel also loved cooking, endlessly watching the Cooking Channel and making delicious food & treats for her family and friends.
Angel excelled in her first & only job starting when she was 16 at Arby's in West Jordan, UT working her way up to Senior Assistant Manager. She loved her job and worked very hard, gaining the respect, admiration, and friendship of supervisors, co-workers, and customers.
Most of all, Angel loved spending time with her family. Her mother and brothers were her best friends. Angel leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her mother Sherrie Allred Rice; brothers Joshua Allen Rice and his wife Laura Ann Rice, Robert Thomas Rice and his son Tristen; and many, many additional family, friends, business associates, and others who were blessed to have known her. Joshua and Laura are expecting Angel's first niece, Emma Marie Rice within the next two weeks.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 11:00am at the Fortuna Ward, 4407 S Fortuna Way (3695 E), Salt Lake City, where a viewing will begin at 9:30 AM. Interment to follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 S. 1700 E., Sandy.

To the Family of Angelica Marie Rice, Having been in your situation before, I wanted to express how deeply sorry I am for your loss. But more importantly, I wanted to share with you that one of the things that helps me pull through every time I lose a loved one to death is the true knowledge from the Bible. Indeed when I found out that the Bible teaches that death isn't the end thanks to the resurrection promise made by our Heavenly Creator in Scriptures like (Isaiah 25: 8), (John 5: 28), (1 Corinthians 15:26), (Revelation 21:3 and 4), it gave me great comfort and hope to know that I can one day re-unite and enjoy the company of my dead loved ones again right here on earth when they are brought back to life at the last day and I know it can do the same for you in this difficult time. (John 11:24) Yes without the resurrection promise highlighted in the above cited Bible passages, there would be no hope whatsoever of ever seeing our dead loved ones again because they would remain lifeless or ?Conscious of nothing at all . . .? as the condition of the dead is described in Ecclesiastes 9:5, and 10. However, mercifully, by means of the resurrection promise, Jehovah, the God of heaven, has opened up the priceless opportunity for untold multitudes of people who have died to one day hear the voice of His son Jesus and to come out of their grave with the opportunity to live forever on a soon to be earthly paradise and in perfect conditions just as God purposed it when He created Adam and Eve. (John 5: 28 and 29); (Deuteronomy 32: 4); (Genesis 1: 28). Yes even though God's original purpose for mankind was put on hold as a result of Adam and Eve's disobedience, it will come true in the near future thanks to the ransom sacrifice of Jesus, who himself gave evidence that the resurrection is guaranteed when he resurrected three individuals while he was on earth. This means that you too can have the heartwarming hope that someday, in God's new world, you can be reunited with your loved ones who have fallen asleep in death.Mark 5:35, 41, 42; Acts 9:36-41. I know this may be hard to believe from a human standpoint especially since many falsely claim that the dead are in heaven, which totally contradicts God's word, the Bible. Yes death is temporary because in 1 Corinthians 15 verse 26 and John 5 verses 28 and 29, our Creator not only promises to soon eliminate it once and for all but through His son Jesus, He'll also bring the dead back to life. Again, these promises are not mere dream or wishful-thinking. They are guaranteed because Jehovah God, who made them cannot lie as Hebrews 6 verse 18 states. Furthermore, by resurrecting Jesus, Jehovah God has given us sound reason to trust in Him and His promises. May you find comfort in the cited Scriptures, which give us hope for a wonderful future in God's upcoming new and righteous world! (Matthew 19: 28-30); (2 Peter 3:13)
