Angelina Simão Drew

Angelina was born in Ludlow, MA, the daughter of the late David & Antonia (Amado) Simão.

Even though Angie lost her sight at an early age, it didn’t stop her from working in the customer service industry or striving to acquire knowledge.  While in Oklahoma, she worked in a federal building’s vending store run by the blind, and in Utah she was a sales associate at the Marriott.  Angie was an insatiable learner, deepening her understanding of braille, her tech equipment, software, and knitting. She was known as an outgoing and outspoken person with an infectious laugh. While her health allowed, she enjoyed visiting her family & friends.

Long time family and friends called Angelina either Angel or Angie. She is survived by her 3 children, S Elizabeth Neves (Kendy Rossi), David Neves (Monica), and Donna Neves (Adam Harley). She was predeceased by her brother, Walter Simão.

A graveside service will be held on April 28, 2025, 1:30 pm, at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Salt Lake City, UT. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local library for the blind or other organization that supports the blind.
