Angie Harriett Luttmer

April 18, 1957 - March 15, 2023

Our cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and social butterfly, Angie, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 15, 2023. Born April 18, 1957 to Howard and Alvera Brinton in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from West High School in 1975. She married her sweetheart Johnny Luttmer in 1976. Together they had three children, Austin, Amy and Ashley.

Angie dedicated her life to raising her children, and later in life became very involved in supporting her husband, children, and grandchildren in their auto racing endeavors. She was the director of the Rocky Mountain Raceways Junior Fan Club. Many young racers found their love for racing through her pace car rides. She also loved spending time with her best friend, Susan. They made a lifetime of memories together. A fast friend to many, she always found the best in everyone no matter the situation. No judgement, just compassion.

She is preceded in death by her husband Johnny Luttmer, her parents Howard and Alvera Brinton, and her sister Toni Mehr. She is survived by her children, Austin(Lindy), Amy(Tyler), and Ashley (Elmo). Brothers, Michael(Rhoda) and Tim(Jill). Grandchildren, Noam, Rylie, AJ, Jordan, Easton, Emilio, Jonnie and Elena.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East. Guests are encouraged to use parking and the entrance at the north side of the building.

Us children would like to say a special thank you to our family and friends to helped care for our mother.

The second mom to many a kid including me, Angie was always so accepting and inviting:) Always wanted to share a story and sneak some words of wisdom in to help in anyway she could. She was an amazing mom and it shows in the kind of people she and Johnny raised. Love you all and wish all the best during this hard time.

We realize how short life is..  when we loose our loved ones.  Angie helped me with loss of Larry and I helped her thru loss of Johnny...Both our loves .being sick . And us such good friends.. it's a loss we don't get over lightly.. Our Soul mates..we consoled each other with knowing... We will be with our loved ones again.. but that our job here was not done.. .and while we are here. ...They are looking over us and protecting us..  I feel same way that Angie is doing for all of us..  Angie was a great woman and friend to all.. we never have enough time with our loved ones..

Austin, Amy & Ashley I'm very sad of your Mother's passing.  I remember her alot since she lived 3 houses down from us.  And she never left her home in Rose Park.  I'm so glad I had my chance to know her and be a friend to her.  Everytime i'd drop by on my Harley she would come out saying "Sounds like Mike is here"  I only have good memories of her.  Hang in there.  I dropped by but know one was at your Mothers home.  I'm going to be in Oregon visiting all my grandkids during her funeral so I won't be there, I Love and miss her alot.  Her friend Mike!

My deepest condolences.  When we moved to Rose Park, when I was 5, I met Angie at that time.  We were best friends growing up.  We would play hide-n-seek outside, try to jump over my dad’s privet hedge and finally made it when we both got taller.  We went through elementary, junior high and high school, we were there together for our West High School Graduation.  She never got down, and always had a smile on her face I will truly miss that.  I am so glad I was able to see her before her passing.  I would have liked to make it to her services, but not able to do so at this time.  Sending all of you, my Love.
