Anthony Taylor Hagen

April 26, 1993 - January 6, 2017

Our beautiful boy, Anthony Taylor Hagen, of Holladay, Utah, made his departure early on the morning of Friday, January 6, 2017. He was 23 years old.

Taylor was born April 26, 1993 to Anthony Todd Hagen and Cristie Williams North. From the moment he could walk, he was always on the move… he was our little Tasmanian devil.

Taylor's true nature was one of love and deep concern, he was extremely open-minded and the most non-judgmental friend you would be lucky enough to have. Once Taylor let you in, he was overly humble, inspiring and philosophical; he was the friend that always lifted you up and made you want to be a better person. We enjoyed his persistence in sharing that love through all his pestering and pranks. He cared tremendously for his close friends and family and wished for nothing more than our happiness. He was extremely quick-witted and no matter how many buttons he purposely pushed, he was continuously making us laugh. All he ever had to do was walk in the room to make us all melt.

Tay loved to test the waters and was constantly daring to try out new stunts… and he never failed to drag us along for the ride. He loved the outdoors- anything from hiking, snowboarding, sky diving, four-wheeling, boating, wakeboarding, to cliff jumping. Above all, his absolute passion was hockey. He graduated from Skyline High School in 2011 a 2-time Hockey State Champ, leading his team to victory as Captain his Senior year. Taylor cherished his ice time and the comradery he shared with his teammates. He traveled the world from rink to rink, skating through the United States, Canada, and Slovakia, and was widely known as "T-Hags"" and "Utah".

Taylor is survived by his parents: Anthony Todd and Connie Hagen, Kenny and Cristie North; his siblings Erika Rickard (Santiago Rickard), Whitney Hagen, Kolin North, Katie North, Kaylee Hagen, Kennedy North, Alyssa Hagen, and his two nieces Katalina and Penelope Rickard. He also leaves his grandparents: Bill and Joann Hagen, Kathy Beck, Maxine Trujillo, Frank and Loretta Williams, Bob and Jill Mather, Kenneth and Cheryl North. Taylor will be missed by countless uncles, aunts, cousins and dear friends.

Celebration of Life arrangements are being handled by K2 the Church at 5049 S Murray Blvd, Murray, UT 84123. Phone (801)486-2240. The service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017, 10:00 AM at K2 with food and reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, our family requests that you consider a donation to the Taylor Hagen Memorial, envelopes will be available at the time of service or a donation can be made anytime through Utah First Credit Union. This Foundation will donate all proceeds to Recovery Ways, suicide prevention, and an annual scholarship to young aspiring hockey players.

Losing someone at anytime is difficult, but especially early and unexpectedly. My prayers for all members of the family. May this be a time of peace, love, and commitment to family and eternity.

Taylor, I cannot express the amount of joy and pride you and your teammates have given me over the years, watching and routing for the hockey games you've played. Some of the happiest days of my life! Thank you. I will remember you with a smile on my face and pray that your family finds comfort in their memories and photos. Rest in peace.
