Beth Anne Frandsen Hollingshead

April 3, 1934 - December 2, 2024

Beth Anne Frandsen Hollingshead born April 3, 1934 passed away December 2, 2024. She was born in a little white house in Price, Utah to Elta Davis Frandsen and Leonard George Frandsen. She was the middle of three children. She had 2 brothers Richard (Dick) and William (Bill) Frandsen.

Beth married Donald Lee Hollingshead. They resided in Little Rock, Arkansas until the Air Force moved the family to Dover, Delaware where Donald passed away in 1960. She then married Leonard Farnworth in 1970, later divorced.

Beth worked hard her whole life. She raised 3 daughters alone while working full time, she went back to college to receive a degree in Business Administration. She also was a member of the Alta Ski Team. She was an amazing mother and made sure her daughters had everything they needed.

Beth was a friend to all, and always had room for more friends to add to her life. There were very few places she went that she didn’t know someone. She loved everyone and always had a beautiful smile on her face. Her happiness was being surrounded by her family and friends. Mom really looked forward to her “Lunch Bunch” dates with a group of women from the VA Hospital where she worked for 38 years before retiring in 2018 at the young age of 84. Mom volunteered countless hours devoted to helping the Veterans and the Employee Association while working at the VA Hospital. Prior to returning to the VA Hospital, she was the Director of Medical Records at Primary Children’s Hospital.

Beth was residing at Highland Cove Assisted Living at the time of her passing. She enjoyed playing endless games of bingo, crafts, and watching the entertainment they provided. She really enjoyed the staff and friends she met while living there. We would like to thank the staff at Highland Cove and Aspire Home Healthcare for taking such good care of mom. We would also like to recognize her friend Falene Loveland for everything she has done for mom whether it be visiting her multiple times a week, or being her chauffer to plays, lunches, etc she always made sure mom didn’t miss out.

Beth is survived by two of her daughters, LeeAnne Jensen, and Tonya Nilson (Jeff Nilson). Grandsons, Justin and Cody Jensen (Michelle Baker),Tanner and Kyler Nilson, and Christian Bone. Great Grandchildren Jayden Van Komen, Hunter (Autumn Erickson) and Madysen Jensen, Brayden,Kylah and Harper Baker.

Beth was preceded in death by parents Leonard and Elta Frandsen, brothers Richard and William Frandsen, husband Donald Lee Hollingshead, daughter Tamara Bone, and grandson Gage Gonzales.

Mom graciously donated her body to the University of Utah Hospital. We will be celebrating her life on Monday, December 16, 2024 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Stark’s Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East Millcreek, UT 84106. Guests are encouraged to use parking and entrance located on the north side of the building.

In Loving Memory

Oh what a gem you truly were Beth. I am so thankful to have shared space with you. You gave me a lifetime of advice on everything from myself, to parenthood. I used to love hearing about the things you did growing up. Or what it was like to see Elvis in concert. 🥹 I will miss our morning coffee & sometimes breakfast with you. Im sad to hear of your passing, but I also know you’re at peace now. That makes me happy. I miss you my girl. Thank you for letting me help you along the end of the road. Big hugs to your family during this time.

May all of your find comfort in knowing she is still smiling spending time with family and friends she has missed over the years. Beth was my Secretary at the Pharmacy for many years. She was always at her desk each morning smiling as I would arrive at 8am. She was a jewel of consistency. She would greet many of our Veterans, Salesmen, and employees as they would stop by to share their stories and complaints with her. In our spare time she would share some of their stories and tribulations with me. Beth had a wonderful personality as she had numerous friends that were employees and others that worked outside the VA. She was a great advocate for the VA Pharmacy, VA care and VA Employee Association. We all thought the world of her. She will be missed by all of us!
