Billie P. Priskos
October 8, 1927 - June 23, 2022
Our beloved Mother, “Yiayia”, Aunt, and friend, Billie peacefully passed away on June 23, 2022, with her daughter by her side. She was born on October 8, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Alex and Alice (Peterson) Poulos. She graduated from West High School, then continued her education at LDS Business College (Ensign College). After the completion of courses, Billie went on to enter the workforce
being a Service Representative at various banks. Billie was wed to Stefanos Priskos on October 28, 1957. In 1959, they welcomed their son Alex into the world. Two short years later they had their daughter, Tessie.
Billie was a life-long member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. She was a life-long member of Panathinaikos Society, member of Philoptochos Society, Society of Athanasis Diakos, she was also a longtime Choir member, and a Sunday School Teacher. She was proud of her faith and her heritage, a love she ingrained in her loved ones from a young age. She even served others at Senior Citizens up into her nineties, unwilling to admit that she was one of the oldest people in the room. Billie had a true love of God, family, traveling, creating art, music, dancing, going to the theater and opera, bowling, gardening, cooking, and she absolutely loved baking pastries, especially Greek pastries. Throughout the years Billie and Stefanos helped bring many family members over from Greece, helped those in a rough spot, and quickly made best friends out of strangers.
Billie is survived by her daugher Tessie (John) Lords; grandchildren: Stefani Priskos, Katherine “Katie” Lords, Andrew Priskos, and Stacy Lords; nephew and nieces: Steve (Lorraine) Clark, Corina (Lyle) Dailey, Johanna (Danny) Lindsley; many great nephews and great nieces; great-great nephews and nieces; extended family; God children; amazing koumbari; and life-long friends. She is preceded in death by her son Alex; her granddaughter Annicchia; her husband Stefanos; her sister Mary P. Limberis; her nephews: Larry Limberis and Vasilios Priskos; her father Alex; her mother Alice; her beloved half- sister Ethel; and many other beloved family, koumbari, and friends.
The family would like to thank her many caregivers, especially Beehive Homes of Draper for their absolutely amazing care of Billie, including but not limited to Ashlie, Maddy, Felicity, and Michelle.
A viewing will be held Thursday June 30, 2022 from 6pm- 8pm at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 279 South 300 West, SLC, UT 84101. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 1, 2022 starting at 11am also at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Interment to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery 1342 E 500 S, SLC, UT 84102.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Billie’s honor to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church’s Benevolence Fund or to the Philoptochos Society at 279 South 300 West, SLC, UT 84101, both were causes near and dear to her heart.

I'm sorry to just learn of Billie's passing last year. She was a wonderful co-worker at First Security Bank, Sugar House. She was had a grand and loyal following making friends, not just customers. I do remember the Baklava at Christmas. Indeed a devoted mother and Disciple of Christ. d
