After retiring from Grand County High School, he went on to become a Mental and Behavioral Health Counselor at Four Corners Community Behavioral Health assisted the Substance Abuse and Men’s Jail groups.

He lost his long hard-fought battle with a variety of health issues on July 19, 2021.

Boyd loved the English language.  He excelled at poetry and lyrics . . . and puns.  If you see an opportunity to pun it up: Do it.  Boyd would have.
