Brandon G. Bess

September 4, 1971 - November 17, 2021

Brandon G. Bess, loving father, cherished husband passed away the morning of November 17th 2021 due to complications from COVID-19. He was 50 years old.

Brandon was born September 4th, 1971 in Murray, Utah. He graduated from Hillcrest Highschool and married his Highschool sweetheart, Rachael, in 1990 with whom he happily shared 31 years of marriage, raising two amazing sons. After graduating, he began a career in landscaping in which he started his own business ‘Accurate Precision Property Maintenance’ that he owned and operated for many years. After selling his business, he then went on to work at Equitable Life and Casualty (now Silac Insurance Company) where he quickly climbed the ladder into a leadership position.

Brandon had a great many interests, some of which include drone-flying, racing RC watercrafts, riding his Onewheel, playing golf, electronics/computers, movies (James Bond was his favorite), music, and many other hobbies that involved “tinkering.”

Brandon had many qualities that made him an outstanding human being. He was hard working, loyal, kind-hearted, and strong. Another key skill that most people who knew him will always remember him for was his ability to solve problems quickly and rationally. Anyone who knew him knew that if it wasn’t working, Brandon could fix it. His love for finding solutions to problems was only ever outmatched by his love for his family.

Brandon was and will always be remembered for his insatiable tenacity, his love for life, his quick wit, and his humor.

Brandon leaves behind his heartbroken wife, Rachael; his two sons Taylor (Erin) and Tristan; his mother, Carol; his father, Bill (Lona); siblings Lance (Mary), Gina (Wyatt), Troy, Tiffany (Terry), Crystal, Chad and Nicole; and a large extended family including nieces, nephews, and many friends, his two dogs Capone and BluBelle. He will be dearly missed forever.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 4 at 5:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, where friends may gather and visit with the familiy afterward.

In Loving Memory

Family, Im so sorry.   Everyone LOVED Brandon at Equitable! I worked with him over 6 years...  What a happy and joyful guy. He was always so positive and helpful.  Brandon was a  fast walking, getting on with his business guy and never missed an opportunity for a quick greet and quick chat.  He talked about his family quite often with love.  Big hugs go out to all those who love him. -Tamara Love

Rachael my thoughts and prayers are with you and the boys. Brandon made a impression on many people. I know I took away from our interactions and he made my life better. With all changes going on at work me thrown from department to department got to me but every morning he would joke with me and give me a hug when needed. I love him as a friend and  he will take a part of me with him. I will however when I go to heaven I will let him know it's was not right I was to go first. Love you Rachael and if you need anything let me know

Brandon was such an amazing guy. He made me feel right at home when I started at equitable so long ago. We would always chat and joke every day. Even tried to teach him some dance moves lol. He was the kind of person you could go to and vent and he would just listen and let you spill. He was a shoulder to cry on. He was taken far to soon. I am still in shock. Gone, but you will never be forgotten!!❤

Brandon was my Friend. Friday after work, 9 holes, talking, having a cold beer. Saturday mornings, 18 holes, breakfast afterwards, more talk and good things. The crazy funny texts all the time that seemed to always come when I needed a laugh.  We laughed, we shared guy type moments that can only be shared between friends. I love my friend with all my heart, he is missed so much already. Brandon's place inside of my heart will never be filled.  Brandon was my friend  my love to Rachel, Taylor and Tristan
