Braxton Golden Scoffield

September 16, 1992 - October 24, 2017

“Being unique is better than being perfect.” And you, Brax, are truly one of a kind. You have always had an unwavering love for your friends and family, a sense of humor unlike anyone we’ve ever known, and the most beautiful, contagious smile that filled our lives with joy. The void you leave behind is unmeasurable.

Whether it was on the slopes, the water, or the field, Braxton could tackle any sport with ease. He could better anyone’s day with a simple joke or by making fun of his dad (“LOVE YOU DAD!”). He had a strange adult affinity for the Ninja Turtles, and loved Bob Marley, steak dinners, loud and obnoxious clothing, his perfectly blow-dried hair, dressing like a woman for Halloween, and his wonderful mom.

Braxton is survived by his parents, Cassey Scoffield and Brooke Watts; Sister, Britnay Watts; Brother, Corby Watts (Crystal); Nieces, Kallie Craig and Camryn Watts; Nephew, Cale Watts; Grandparents; Bill and Shirley Sartor; and the most fabulous aunts, uncles, and cousins, along with numerous friends who became family.

In lieu of flowers, do something kind for someone else. Give a hug. Do a favor. Brighten a day. Don’t take yourself too seriously, and remember to enjoy all of life’s little moments.

Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City.  Please use the complimentary valet parking provided on the north side of the building.

In Loving Memory

My Uncle, Aunt and family...😞 my heart is so broken... I know the road with Brax has been rocky ... but he loved with a tenacity that is so rare these days ... I'm thankful I got to speak with him a little while ago... he will always be your Angel!!!! He will always be there for anything ... I love you all so very much and know personally how much this pain covers... but there will come a point this pain conquers... and he will be right there with you!!!!

Scoffield Family Braxton was a big part of my family for several years. He called me Ma B when he was in high school. He was very good friends with my son Derek who desperately wanted to come from Hawaii, but couldn't and he was so sad. Our sons shared the same demons of additions which started with the small stuff and ended fighting against the worst one. I will miss Braxton, his smile and all those funky clothes he used to wear. I am so sorry for all your family but you will have his memories and perhaps an opportunity help those that are suffering. Please feel free to contact me if you feel like talking Best Regards, Ma B Barbara Kolkman
