Brenda Kaye Askee
September 22, 1970 - June 27, 2017
Brenda Kaye Askee, 46, of Salt Lake City, Utah passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017. She was born September 22, 1970 to Kenneth Lowell Wilkerson and Leola Fae Wilkerson at Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake. In 1989, Brenda graduated from Granite High School. On July 20, 2012, she married her high school sweetheart and true love, Jeffrey Askee.
She was rst and foremost a proud mother and grandmother who loved her children and grandchild like none
other, and took so much pride in their accomplishments. Brenda was a race fan for life and long time member of the Salt Lake Valley Racing Association (SLVRA). In her spare time she loved going to Rocky Mountain Raceways to watch her nephews race and be part of the racing community. Her bright smile and fun loving energy will be greatly missed at the track on Saturday nights.
She is survived by her husband Jeffrey W. Askee; two children, Stephanie (Nathan) Davis and Jayden Dorenbosch; her stepdaughter Amy Askee; one grandchild, McCoy Davis; her parents Kenneth and Fae Wilkerson; two sisters, Tammy (Tim) Bergener and Cathy (Jeff) Carter; her brother Kenny Wilkerson; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She now resides in peace with her grandparents Thomas and Verl Wilkerson, Leo Cutler and Kaye Calhoon, and her niece Brittany Carter.
All friends and family are invited to celebrate Brenda's life on Thursday, July 6th from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 S 900 E, Salt Lake City, where a memorial vigil presided over by Fr. Javier Virgen will begin a 7:00pm. Brenda will be laid to rest at a private committal service at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

So hard to hear of her passing. She was a shining light that is gone too soon. Even when she was having the worst of luck, she was always quick to smile and laugh. She had such a contagious laugh .
