It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brett Grant Atwood, who left this world on June 18, 2025, at the age of 56.
Brett was born in Los Angeles, California, and lived a life marked by quiet strength, deep loyalty, and unwavering love for his family. He is survived by the love of his life, Leslie; his sons David, Marshall, and Justin; his sister Lisa; and his brother Doug. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kay Mize and Roy Atwood, and his sister Alisha.
Brett was a loving partner, a loving devoted father, a steady brother, and a loyal friend. He will be remembered for his calm presence, sharp wit, and genuine kindness. His integrity, humility, and gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
Memorial Service
A service to honor Brett’s life will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park

Bluffdale, Utah
Though he is no longer with us, Brett’s love and memory will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
