Brice Senter Fehr

June 7, 1951 - December 18, 2008

Brice Senter Fehr, 57, passed away as the result of a sudden heart attack on December 18, 2008.

Brice was born June 7, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Kenneth C. Fehr and Winiefred Walker Fehr.  He was married to Mary Anne Philibin Cole on June 14, 1987.  Brice grew up in Holladay, Utah and graduated from Skyline High School in 1969.  Brice served in the Army Reserve where he discovered his passion for cooking.  This led him to professional training in meat cutting, where he worked as a butcher for 9 years.  Brice had many years in the food industry, and continued his passion as a salesman for Sysco Foods.  He loved his job, and enjoyed the interaction with all of his customers.  Brice took joy in contributing to his customer’s success.  In his 26th year with Sysco he had started a new position developing the skills of new sales people.  He was  very excited about this new challenge to further his career.  Brice was addicted to the outdoors.  He loved to work in the yard, and took pride in having the most manicured lawn in the area.  He grew up as a fly fisherman and this was one of his favorite leisure time activities.  He loved the peaceful quite feeling of being on the water.

Brice loved the Saturdays he spent golfing at Mountain Dell with family.  Another pastime he enjoyed was playing his drums.  Brice loved music and would stay up all hours of night putting together a new sound.  Brice is described by his family and friends as a man with a heart of gold.  His best qualities were his caring nature, loving personality, and engaging sense of humor.  He was an amazing and loving father, and so proud when his daughter Natalie came into his life.  After Brice’s granddaughter Hailey Grace Cook was born he discovered how wonderful it was to be a grandpa.  He enjoyed the experience of teaching and sharing his life with her.  To his wife, Mary Anne, he was her best friend!

Brice is survived by his wife, Mary Anne; daughter Natalie (John) Cook; granddaughter Hailey; brothers Ken C. Jr. (Mary Lou) and Robert W. (Maxine); many extended family members; and a host of dear friends.

Mary Anne, I am really sorry about the loss of Brice. I have known him for most of the 27 years he has been at Sysco. Brice has always had a great sense of humor and added a lot to my rememberance of him. He will be greatly missed here. There have been many times that I have been in the back of the mail room where his mailbox was and we will talk to each other through the mail box. He always leaves with a laugh and never forgets to ask me how the knees are doing. He is genuinly concerned about my condition. I will definately miss him. Gordon Graham

Mary Anne and Natalie We were so sorry to hear about Bryce. I worked with him at Sysco for over 10 years. As I read through his past I learned that he truly was a man who lived life to its fullest. He did take alot of teasing from some of the Sysco people. But everyone did look up to him and they will miss him alot. I personally worked with him on many projects. He alwasys gave 110%. They will miss his smile and his haircut. Bob Jensen who was a President of Sysco use to tease him regulary about his long hair. It was just one of those things Bryce never changed or gave into. We also met your family while your daughter was attending U of U. My daughter Jacque spent some time in Spain with your daughter. Our family wants to wish yours many happy thoughts and memories. Bryce would have wanted it that way. We will pray for you. Jill Shiffer
