Bruce Mills

July 15, 1934 - October 22, 2024

Our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Bruce Mills, passed away peacefully of natural causes on October 22, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of love and joy through his three children: Beckey Carson, Bruce Mills Jr., and Bryan Mills (Martha), as well as five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed to share in his life.

Bruce was a man of many passions, always finding joy in the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing, and you could often find him with a rod in hand or out in the wilderness, embracing the thrill of the hunt while soaking in the beauty of nature. He was not only an avid golfer but also a skilled bowler, winning numerous tournaments in both sports. His love for golf brought him and his dear wife, Evelyn, to the Alpine Country Club and Cottonwood Country Club regularly, where they shared many cherished moments together.

An independent businessman with a tireless work ethic, Bruce ran a Chevron service station for much of his career. He worked hard and took great satisfaction in serving his community, making lifelong friends along the way. Beyond his career, Bruce and Evelyn both had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel. From the wonders of Australia and China to the ancient landscapes of Egypt and India, their sense of adventure knew no bounds, and their travels together brought them both much happiness.

Bruce’s life was full, marked by the love of his family and his many accomplishments. His laughter, stories, and the lessons he imparted will remain with us always. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Bruce’s legacy is one of love, dedication, and resilience. He had an unwavering love for his family, and we will forever hold memories of his laughter, his stories, and his love. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will live on in the stories we share and the values he instilled in each of us. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Evelyn, with whom he shared 68 beautiful years of marriage. We will miss him dearly, but we take comfort in knowing that he is at peace.

A memorial service will be on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 6-8 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City.

In Loving Memory

Bruce was a great example to me. He was a great friend and a super boss! He loved his family and his customers! He will be missed!
