Bryce Steven McCormack
December 12, 1990 - July 7, 2021
Bryce Steven McCormack, 30, of Salt Lake City, Utah and Albany, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021.
Bryce was born in Albany, Georgia. Bryce graduated from Westover High School in Albany and attended the University of Alabama where he was a member of Zeta Beta Tau fraternity. Bryce moved west to Salt Lake City with his family in 2011 and was a licensed journeyman electrician.
As a child, Bryce had an imagination and curiosity that kept his parents on their toes. His wonder and awe in the world wasn’t something he grew out of, but leaned into. As an adult he directed it toward a love of music, hiking, skiing and travel. The light in his eyes and a genuine kindness gave him an infectious energy that could literally light up the room. This was clear to everyone he loved. No matter how long since you had last seen him, you were always greeted with a bright smile and a great big hug. Adventurous in life, unbounded in spirit, Bryce was at his best when he was dancing to his favorite bands, cheering on the Tide, or just spending time with his family and friends.
Bryce was the second youngest of The McCormack cousins— The Cousins—a group who was molded around the kids table at the weekly Sunday Lunch. This tight family relationship only grew as the group got older, reconnecting for milestones, holidays and raucous rounds of Charades.
Bryce is preceded in death by his grandfathers Carmen Dippolito and Robert McCormack Jr. and great-aunt, Anna Louise McCormack. Bryce is survived by his parents, Gregory and Dina McCormack, brother Keller and sister Halley (Mark Alan), grandmothers Josephine Dippolito and Louise McCormack, great-aunt Bee McCormack, aunts and uncles Steven Dippolito, Lisa Dippolito Portman (Jeff), Robert McCormack III (Creel), Mary Helen Dykes, Julie McCormack Roth (Ira) and his adoring cousins and friends.
A viewing will be on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Starks Funeral Parlor at 3651 S 900 E, Millcreek, UT. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorials be made in Bryce’s honor to Conscious Alliance or a charity of your choice.

No matter how long it had been, Bryce truly lit up the room when he came in with his infectious smile. We had only met Bryce a few times at your home in Park City but it only took a few times to forever remember his smile and outgoing nature. I only had the luxury of knowing Bryce for a short while; despite any of that he is a wonderful soul. I'm thankful I was able to have him over for dinner amongst other friends and return the hospitality he always provided. In lieu of that, I may not know his close ones, so to speak, but know that I am terribly sorry for this loss. I wish nothing less than positive energy for everyone.

I was lucky enough to meet Bryce when I moved to Salt Lake City in 2013. Emily Cutt introduced me to Bryce, Keller, and the crew and we shared many memories dancing at shows together. I would always look forward to seeing Bryce (and Keller) at shows because I knew he would give me the best hug in the world. After the first time I hung out with Bryce, he made me feel like we had known each other forever. So personable, so loving, you just wanted to hang out with Bryce. You may not remember me from St. Theresa's school, but I certainly remember Bryce and your family. I was a teacher's assistant when Bryce was in kindergarten through third grade. He had the biggest heart and the greatest smile and spirit! I keep up with some of these children and am devastated to hear of Bryce's passing. It was extremely touching to see him in his younger years through the video and bring back all my wonderful memories, but it was equally a joy to see the man he has become. So very sorry to hear of Bryce's passing; my deepest condolences to your family. I was only knew Greg a short time while I worked at Bob's in 2000/2001 (Greg actually created a special position for me in the office), Bryce was just a little boy. May God grant you peace at this sad time.

I just heard the heartbreaking news about Bryce. I knew him as a sweet, precious boy. My heart is with all of you as you grieve such a tremendous loss.

I just happened upon the obituary and slide show for Bryce. The whole thing reminded me of my son Cooper, who died at age 19 in a skiing accident. I am so sorry for the loss of Bryce- an amazing boy for sure. ��
We grew up together, we went to school together, we learned so much from each other. We shared so many precious moments and laughs together. You always stuck by me, you always knew what to say to make me smile. If there is a heaven, then may it be wondrous, if there is another life, then let it be ever more bountiful than this one.
