Carl Fernelius Olson passed away on May 10, 2021 at the age of 82. Although we are heartbroken and deeply saddened’ we are eased to know he is freed from his long battle with dementia.

Carl was born on July 2, 1938 in SLC, Utah. He married his Honey Bear in Gothenburg, Sweden on Oct 2, 1961 and returned to SLC, Utah to have 4 beautiful children, Nick, Noel, Angelique and Mary. Carl spent a lot of his time at the cabin he built in Bear Lake, Idaho. He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, picking huckleberries and just being in nature as well as cowboy poetry and the Bar J Wranglers in Jackson Hole, WY. He loved doing puzzles, painting, building things and landscaping, but most of all he loved sharing these experiences and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Carl is survived by his sister Majken Bood, four children Nicky Carl (Sue) Olson, Noel Christian (Debbie) Olson, Angelique Ania (Kyle) Goodrich and Mary Laine Olson-Bruce. Eleven grandchildren: Zach, Chloe, Jacob, Aubrey, Bryce, Josh, Rhiannon, Sierra, Sydney, Jordan and Paige. Five great-grandchildren Aiden, Kaylee, Jameson, Chesnee and Lillian.
