Carl Wain Hammond
1933 – 2011
Carl Wain Hammond left his worldly existence July 16, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Carl was a man that was loved, admired and respected by all that had privilege to know him. He was the loving husband of Colleen, respected father of Calvin, Carleen, Denise, Gayleen and John. Grandfather of 16 and great grandfather of 15.
Carl served his country for more than 27 years and retired from the US Navy with the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer. Carl pursued many interests but loved to build and fly model airplanes. We would all like to believe that now he is the one flying in the clouds.
Carl is survived by all mentioned above as well as his two brothers Kendall Ray, Bert and their wives.
A celebration of Carl's life will be held Thursday, July 21 at 6:30 pm at 816 E. Cedar Terrace Dr. (7985 S.), Sandy, Utah.
