Carolyn Porter

Carolyn “Micky” Porter, our loving wife, mother and grandma passed away unexpectedly on September 9, 2024, at the age of 79. 

Micky was born in Grand Junction, Colorado on September 3, 1945, to John and Mary Miklich. This is where she met the love of her life, late husband of 47 years, Jesse Porter. They were married and shortly after moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where she worked in the insurance industry for many years.  

Micky will be remembered as a determined, self-willed woman who possessed a kind spirit, infectious laugh and wonderful smile. She loved spending time with family, friends, and her furry friend, Diego. Micky was always up for an adventure and never wanted to be left behind. Some of her favorite pastimes included skiing, hiking, biking, boating, camping, Zumba, watching Patrick Mahomes, traveling the world with her good friend Carol, watching her grandchildren participate in their many activities, eating good food, and having beers at Templin Family Brewing. She truly was one in million and loved by all who met her.  

Micky is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Porter. She leaves behind her two daughters, Senta (Craig and grandchildren Jessica, Brayden and Chase) Beyer and Britt (Kevin and grandchildren Porter and Haile) Templin.  

In lieu of flowers, Micky would wish that you consider a donation to the Best Friends Animal Society or Red Butte Garden in her name. A Celebration of Life will be planned for a future time. For now, raise a glass to an incredible lady with an endless smile.
