Catherine Swenson
December 6, 1957 - December 6, 2008
Catherine Swenson
Catherine Swenson was born on December 6, 1957 and passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Dec 6, 2008 having just turned 51.
Catherine (or Catt) grew up as the youngest of four children. She loved the outdoors and always went hunting and fishing with her father and brother. Through the years Catt made many lasting friendships. The immensity of her capacity to love and give of herself cannot be measured. Her companion of over 15 years, Amy Schanfield, had the privilege of experiencing that love. The world has lost a truly beautiful soul, and she will be forever missed by all of us. Catherine is also survived by her mother Norma Swenson of St George, Utah; sisters Vicki (Gordon) Woods of Tooele, Utah, Paula (Larry) Higgins of Colorado Springs, CO; and one brother Ty (Michelle) Swenson of Sunset, Utah. Catherine is preceded in death by her father Taylor Swenson; grandparents Max and Unity Swenson, and Jack and Mildred Barber. The family asks in lieu of flowers please make a donation to the No More Homeless Pets In Utah, 324 South 400 West, Salt Lake City, UT 84101-1120.
We love you Catherine and you will always be in our hearts.

I am so shocked and saddened to learn that Catherine has so suddenly passed away. She had the greatest laugh I have ever heard. I knew her and her family growing up in Tooele. May God keep her close and her grieving family and loved ones even closer.
