Cayla Montana Morrell Crosby Van Wagoner, 31, originally from Park City, died at her home in Salt Lake City, Utah, Sunday, November 23, 2014.
Cayla was preceded in death by her father Ronald M. Crosby. She is survived by her husband Aaron; daughters Amber, and Deija Rayne and son Daven; parents Van and Georgene Crosby Heare; sisters Kelly, Bonnie, and Lourie and brother Kevin; grandmother Irene Cantrell and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Cayla will be remembered as a fun, high adventurous little girl who had very little fear in whatever she did. With a mind of her own, and her strong personality she became a gifted athlete, ski racer, biathlete and champion soccer player. Cayla was extremely intelligent, a true Irish spirit, a published poet, voracious reader and accomplished writer. She went on to become an accomplished computer and IT wiz who worked with her father, and later in University data entry. Cayla was a loving and caring mother to her children and family, and loved animals.
A children's memorial fund has been established at Wells Fargo Bank as Van Wagoner Children Memorial Fund.
A memorial service was held Friday, November 28, at St Mary's Catholic Church in Park City.
