Charlene Brimley Magness
Charlene Brimley Magness (Chick) passed away peacefully on May 28, 2013, with her family by her side. She is preceded in death by her first husband Stephen Brimley whom she was married to for forty-seven years, together they had four children.
Chick was born in Salt Lake City on January 10, 1931 and was the second youngest of eleven children.
Chick married Richard King Magness on June 17, 2000. They shared twelve wonderful years together. Dick has brought so much love and joy to our family.
She loved to golf, bowl and play bridge with her many friends. Her children and grandchildren were the loves of her life, always making it to their dance concerts and sporting events. Mountain Dell Golf Course was her second home where we shared many happy memories. Here's hoping Heaven is as beautiful as Mountain Dell.
She is survived by her husband Richard; children Leslie (Tom) Kemp, Rick (Cathy) Brimley, Mike (Patty) Brimley, Jana (Dana) Halliday; 8 grandchildren and 3½ great grandchildren.
Friends may call upon the family on Monday, June 3rd from 6 to 8 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 4th at 12:00 noon also at Starks Funeral Parlor and one hour prior to services. Interment to follow at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Dr., Salt Lake City.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Utah or the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
In Loving Memory
Blessed Family, It's not always easy when death brings us sorrow. However, remember the blessed times, the laughs, the hugs, and the smiles. But, most importantly love. Love each other, love your family, and love forever. Life is given to us from a blessing of God and we need to live and enjoy everyday. May God comfort you and bring you strength during this difficult time. You are all forever in my prayers. Love, Ramona J. Franck
