Charles Ray Pulver Jr.
April 5, 1947 - August 13, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles Ray Pulver, our dearly loved dad, gramps, and friend. Charlie departed this world on August 13, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving behind a legacy of love, adventure, and unforgettable memories.
Charlie was born in Fielding, Utah on April 5, 1947, to Charles and LaJuana Pulver. Charlie graduated from Bear River High School in 1965 and loved reminiscing about the wild and spirited times he had during those years. He later married Margaret Nichols on July 28, 1967, in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they continued their education at the University of Utah where he graduated with a degree in accounting and went on to become a Certified Public Accountant.
During his professional career, Charlie dedicated many years to serving at the Utah State Tax Commission, where his expertise and commitment made a significant impact. Thanks to careful planning and foresight, Charlie was able to retire in 2005, at the age of 58, enjoying the fruits of his hard work and dedication.
Charlie was a wonderful and supportive father to five children, whom he was a trusted confidant, provider, protector, and friend. He took his family on endless adventures, but his true love was just sharing the experiences with his family, and believed that the best memories were made together, creating countless fun times. His children and grandchildren will forever remember the many trips to their lakefront property in Delta and camping at the sand dunes.
He was a man of many talents and had an incredible knack for fixing anything and everything. He was known for his quick wit and infectious humor. His playful spirit and wise words will be deeply missed by his family who cherished the stories and guidance he shared. His wisdom will continue to resonate in their lives.
Charlie is survived by his four children: Charlie (Cindy); Becky (Ryan) Carpenter; Katie Nichols; and Tim; 14 grandchildren; his siblings, Paul (Jayne); Geniel; and Michelle (Guy) Ballard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; his son, Jon; his parents, Charles and LaJuana; his in-laws, Russell and Fern Nichols; and his special friend and partner, Marsha Cluff.
One of the most cherished parts of Charlie’s life was the deep bond he shared with his grandson and best friend, Rayse. Their friendship was unique, filled with quality time and unconditional love.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation and celebration of his life at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, on August 23, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive on August 24, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.

What a beautiful presentation for Charlie! I just adorned Charlie. He would make me a reindeer every year for Christmas, finally I asked if I could have more then one. They are very sentimental to me and he always had a smile on his face at work! He always made my day brighter! I am so sorry for your loss. He was such a beautiful soul!
