Cheryl Clark

July 9, 1954 - October 5, 2022

On a warm autumn day, we were given the life-shattering news that our mother, Cheryl Clark, was diagnosed with an inoperable tumor. It’s with great sorrow and deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, and loyal friend.

The daughter of Marjorie and Leroy Isakson, Cheryl was born in Hartford, Connecticut on July 9th, 1954. She moved to Orem, Utah when she was a young child and spent the last 47 years of her life in Sandy, Utah with her husband, John Clark. They just celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on September 11th.

Cheryl was one of a kind, hard working, generous with a gentle stubbornness you couldn’t help but love, and a sweet tooth you couldn’t help but appreciate. She loyally and proudly worked for Grand Central/Fred Meyer/Smith’s for 45 years.

A mother's love is unmatched and undeniable, and luckily for our family, we have been blessed with 68 years of that love.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her mother and father and survived by her husband John, daughter Stephanie, son JJ (Ashley), and granddaughters, Grace and Samantha.

She was a voracious fighter and fought this prognosis with everything she had. We are devastated by our immense loss, but we know that she will finally be free of the pain that has followed her for years.

Our family would like to thank the entire staff at IMC hospital and hospice.

A celebration of Cheryl’s life will be on Thursday, November 3rd from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor (3651 S. 900 E., Millcreek, UT 84106). Friends are all welcome to come visit with her family.

In lieu of flowers, our family has set up a GoFundMe page to help with funeral expenses.
