Christa Gertrude Erika May

June 15, 1942 - February 1, 2015

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Christa was very dedicated to her work and family. She always had a smile on her face and could easily cheer you up. She would always listen to what you had to say with out judgment. She was an incredible woman and a friends to all; she was generous to a fault.

Christa also loved her extended family in Switzerland where she visited frequently and was able to fulfill one of her bucket list items- paragliding, on her 70th birthday. In 2002, Christa received her U.S. citizenship and she was so proud to be an American.

We would like to thank our Legacy House family for all their continued support and compassion during this difficult time.

A special thanks to Dr. Gilcrease, Dr. Legant, as well as Sharon and Robin and the wonderful staff that have been a great support to us.

Christa is survived by her son Patrick (Amy) Limacher; Francie (Vince) Stuart, as well as her grandchildren, nieces, and sister.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Huntsman Cancer Institute for colon cancer.

A celebration of life will be held at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, on Friday, February 6th from 6 to 8 PM. Casual dress is welcomed. Complimentary valet parking will be available on the north side of the building.

In Loving Memory

Francie, Vince and Alexa, I love you guys and send my love and prayers to your family during this difficult time. Your Mother was a special person and will be missed! Cancer is a tough thing to fight but she did it so bravely and I'm glad you were all there to help and make sure she enjoyed as many things as she could! Cherish the good memories and cherish each other. Family and friends are so important and give us strength. Lean on each other! All our love, Lynn, Sadie and Torie

I would like to express my sincere sympathy to the family and friends of your beloved Christa. Although I never had the opportunity to meet her personally, I wanted to share with you some comfort from God's word found in John 5:28,29. Here we are given the wonderful hope of the resurrection of our dear loved ones again right here on earth, but under very different conditions. Revelation 21:3, promises a world free from tears of sorrow, pain and even death! Yes, God's original purpose for humans to live forever on paradise earth is sure to come true because God cannot lie (Titus 1:2). I hope you can find comfort in these promises as well as in your cherished memories of Christa as you cope during this difficult time.

I unfortunately did not have the pleasure of meeting Christa. However, I am fortunate to call her daughter, Francie, my friend. Knowing Francie and her gentle caring spirit---her mom must have been one cool gal! Love you and thinking of you all.
