CHRISTINE TEZAK GRANT
1912-2010
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Christine Louise Tezak Grant, 98, was taken from this mortal existence the morning of November 15, 2010. Christine was a very devout woman who loved our Lord above all else and He in turn made her journey short and sweet.
Christine was born on August 10, 1912 in Sunnyside, Utah to Anton and Christina Logar Tezak, the fourth of nine children. She married Arthur Rollo Grant on September 3, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was later blessed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She retired from Mountain Bell in September of 1969 after 31 years as a long-distance operator. Christine was a very devoted member of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites, Legion of Mary, a member of the Blue Army and a long time member of Saint Vincent De Paul Catholic Church. She attended every First Friday mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, First Saturday mass whenever she could, never missed her monthly confession at St. Judes and was faithfully at the Sunday 8:00am mass at St. Vincent’s. She was a member of the Golden Club and the Vincentinos. Thank you to Virginia and her other friends for being so wonderful to see that she got to these events and home again. The rest of her time was spent praying, watching mass on EWTN and worrying about all of us. She was never without her rosary and always made sure we had ours too.
Survived by her children Christine L. Sorenson of Aliso Viejo, CA and Arthur A. (Pamela) Grant of Murray; stepson Richard C. Grant of Midvale; grandchildren John Sorenson, Ann Marie White, Teresa Sorenson, Laura (Michael) Furtado, Mary Sorenson, Arthur “Tony” Grant, Jr., Jenifer (Chris) Dawes, Troy Grant, Sharee, Sean, Travis, Trevor and Michelle; great-grandchildren Dylan, Elise, Sabrina, Ethan, Isabella Mia, Katie, Julia, Lily, Devin, Jessica, Kaylie, Austin and Jazlin. In Loving Memory
Art and Pam, May God bless and comfort you and your family at this time of sadness. We did not know your Mom well but we know that she loved you and was very proud of you. I know she appreciated the care you gave her for many years. I am sure she is looking down from heaven and smiling. Peace be with you.,

Art and Pam, My mother always talked of what a keen mind your mother maintained up until her death. And my father couldn't believe that she was actually born in 1912. He assumed that she was somewhere around his age. To the important things, according to my mother who is a good judge of spiritual character, your mother had an uncommonly good focus on those things which are enduring in God's eyes. For her to live so long, and die so peacefully is a success story. Most of us will not fare so well. Take care.

My mom and I have met your mother at St. Vincents 8:00 Sunday mass. My mom always looked forward to seeing her each week and sitting next to her. What a beautiful soul; we were so amazed by her inner and outer beauty. So sorry for your loss. God bless and peace be with you.
