Christopher Douglas Jones

March 14, 1983 - June 5, 2022

Christopher Douglas Jones was born on March 14, 1983 to Mary Terese (Munk) and John Douglas Jones in Mission Viejo, California. The family moved to Sandy, Utah in the later part of June in 1983. In essence, he grew up here. He loved everything about nature and the out of doors.

Some of his hobbies were as follows: snow-boarding, camping, hunting, hiking, biking, fishing. He added another hobby, cooking. Not only was the food outstanding, it was presented beautifully. Chris loved to take things apart and put them back together especially cars. Painting was added to the long list of “things to do.” The writing or telling of stories seemed to be an outlet for him. His keen sense of humor quite often got him into or out of trouble. As a family we all have many stories of his youth.

He earned a college degree from the University of Montana. After graduation he moved to Denver, CO., where he resided for approximately ten years. After moving back to Utah he spent some months searching for a new path in life.

Chistopher was employed by NetOne/Cielo Recruiters. Life was looking up for him. He was very excited about this job. He had many plans for his future.

He leaves behind his parents; two siblings David Douglas Jones (Brandy Sargent), Stephanie Anne (Jones) Dawson; seven nephews and nieces, Mathew, Luke, Sean, Jessica, and Thomas Dawson and Kenna-Elysia and Leila-Haper Jones.

Christopher passed away on June 5, 2022 with arrangements entrusted to Starks Funeral Parlor.

He will be forever in our hearts.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 11:30 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 3015 East Creek Rd, Sandy.

In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the St. Thomas More Building Fund or Best Friends Animal Society.

Dear family, I didn't know Christopher, but I do know that he is loved and incredibly handsome, thanks to his amazing parents. Doug and Terese, our hearts break for you.  You have all been in our prayers for quite some time. You raised a beautiful son who lived a very adventurous life.  Christopher is now your prayer warrior. May God bless you and His angels carry you through this very difficult time.
