Christopher Robert Stocki

September 23, 1983 - June 18, 2023

CHRISTOPHER ROBERT STOCKI, 39, died peacefully at home on June 18, 2023 after battling multiple health issues. He was born in Salt Lake City, UT on September 23, 1983 to Jerome A. and Wendy M. Stocki.  He married his childhood sweetheart and “Angel,” Angie, in 2002 and they were blessed with two sons, Judah (16) and Chris (13).

By trade, he was a talented welder and steel detailer.  He excelled in all sports, but his true passions were basketball, snowboarding and golf, and later turned to coaching his sons and developing their skills, along with touching the lives of so many other kids in sports.  He also loved the outdoors including camping, fishing, and hunting. He was able to fulfill his lifetime dream of a fishing trip to Alaska with his family.

Anyone who knew Chris knew his gift of communication and gab.  He developed relationships with so many people, giving way to many late-night talks, with many people earning one of his famous nicknames.  He had an amazing sense of humor and was always the life of the party.  His love for God shined as he would use any opportunity given to him, or make his own opportunity to spread God’s word. In his words, “I am Free and with Jesus where I always knew I would be!”

Left to cherish Chris are his “family first,” including his wife, Angie, two sons, Judah and Chris, his parents, Jerome A. and Wendy M. Stocki, his siblings Michelle (Clint) Mason, Jerome P. Stocki, Nichole (Jesse) Davis, and Danielle Andrus, many nieces and nephews, and his countless “chosen” family.

Chris was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Jerome D. and Florence T. Stocki, his maternal grandma Trady E. Yetzer, his Aunt Patricia Irwin and Uncle Michael J. Stocki.

An open house will be on Friday, June 30, 2023 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East. Guests are encouraged to use parking and enterance located on the north side of the building.

For those that feel inclined, in lieu of flowers, please considering donating to Venmo (@Angie-Stocki) or the GoFundMe that was graciously set up for us.
