Colleen Eastman Hammond

March 4, 1938 - April 28, 2017

Colleen Eastman Hammond departed this worldly life on April 28, 2017 to co-pilot in the clouds with her husband, Carl due to complications of dementia.

Colleen was a woman who was loved by a ridiculous amount of people, all of whom will miss her stories.  She was the loving mother of Calvin (Stephanie), Carleen (Jeff), Denise, Gayleen, John (Deborah); and grandmother and great-grandmother of many.

Colleen loved to sew and make clothes for her entire family.  She was known for her "scrubbies." She was passionate about bowling (she wasn't able to throw that final strike), reading (she's probably read more books than anyone we know) and golfing (she once got a hole in one!).  Colleen worked for Sears for more than a quarter of a century.

Colleen is survived by all mentioned above as well as many friends.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded by her mother Fay and her brothers Calvin and Ron.

A celebration of Colleen's life will be held Thursday, May 4th at 816 E. Cedar Terrace Dr. (7985 S.), Sandy, UT, beginning at 6:30 PM and continuing until the last person goes home.
