Craig Ward Knell
1950 – 2013

Craig Ward Knell, 63, of Salt Lake City, UT passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Sunday May 26, 2013 from causes incident to brain cancer.

Craig, born on April 19, 1950, in Cedar City, UT, was one of six children born to the late Frank Page Knell and Zola Ward Knell. Craig graduated from Cedar City High School in 1968 and attended both Southern Utah University and the University of Utah. He led his own business for 35 years. Craig married "the only girl I ever loved" Natalie Wright Knell of Evanston, WY on September 1, 1979. He devoted his entire life to his family. Craig also had a deep appreciation for his colleagues and employees. As a husband, a father, and a friend, he was a loving, caring, hard-working, and extremely funny individual who claimed to be a simple man. To those he didn't know, he wanted to be remembered as a tall, dark and handsome gentleman, with the ability to speak 7 languages and free of a single bad hair day (although he had two bad scalp days). He was truly one of a kind.

Craig is survived by his sweetheart, Natalie and was a hero to his three children Kory Justin (Ashley) Knell; Sunny (Justin) Pater; and Savannah Knell (Aldo Gagliardi), who will all miss him immeasurably. He was the "Grand-Pete" of 3 grandchildren with another one on the way and is also survived by his brothers Frank, Wayne, and Keith Knell and sisters Linda Pugmire and Ilene Foulger; and many great friends.

The Knell family would like to earnestly thank all those that gave of their time and resources to show loving support to Craig and our family during a difficult battle with cancer.

Friends are invited to celebrate Craig's life by wearing bright colors and bringing happy memories to Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 S. 900 E., Salt Lake City, UT, on Saturday June 1, 2013 from 5:00 PM 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions made to the cancer charity of your choice in support of the fight against cancer.

In Loving Memory

Fond memories of my one of a kind cousin, Craig. What a character and one I grew up with around our grandparents home. Also I would always call my Aunt Zoe (Craig's mother) when I was traveling with my dad on the bus to see if she had her Corn Flakes yet! Craig was always there and a pure joy to be around. He will be missed greatly.

May Craig Ward Knell RIP, "...Everything he has made pretty in its time. Even time indefinite he has put in their heart... I have come to know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good during one's life; and also that every man should eat and indeed drink and see good for all his hard work. It is the gift of God."Ecclesiastes 3:10-13" The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, ... to a resurrection of life." John 5:28,29

Savannah and family, Am thinking of all of you during this time of stress and grief. But, as they say, the sun will come up tomorrow and the clouds will pass albeit slowly.
