Always and Forever
I was born on July 5, 1957 in Logan, Utah. My parents are Walter Dale Kohler and Sarah LaPreal Batt Kohler, the best parents a person could ever have.
I am the youngest of four girls. My oldest sister is Patricia, next is Andrea and then Sandra. I am very close to all of my sisters, their husbands and my nieces and nephews. I truly appreciate their love, concern and taking care of me over the years and I love all of them very much.
I was raised in Smithfield, Utah and attended Smithfield Elementary, North Cache Junior High and Sky View High school. I loved living in Smithfield and all the special times I had growing up there. After high school graduation, I moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to be with my family and have lived here ever since.
I am grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The gospel has always been very important to me. I don’t know how I would have gotten through my life without it. It is so wonderful to know that I will be reunited with my loved ones again.
I met the love of my life, A. Edward Jewell at a singles ward. He asked me for a first date on April 2, 1978. We were married on September 7, 1978 in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. We had 41 incredible years together.
I don’t know what I would have done without him in my life. Words can’t express how I truly feel about him. His love for me and the kindness and caring to me and my family has been amazing over the years. Even with his numerous health problems, he was always there for me. He is my one and only soulmate. I was extremely blessed to have had him in my life all those years. I also love my in-laws, Marvin and Donna Jewell and Ed’s brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews and other family members.
Ed and I have some very special friends, who have added much love, laughter and happiness to our lives over the years. We love all of them very much and thank them for the memorable times we have had with them.
I have been so blessed all of my life and have had many happy and awesome times with my family. I also loved the sweet animals we had and the joy they gave me.
I want to extend my love and gratitude to all those who touched my life in any way and added so much love and joy to it.
I was preceded in death by my husband, Ed, my father and mother, Dale and LaPreal Kohler, and my oldest sister, Pat Griffin.
I am survived by my sister, Andrea (Lynn) Larsen and their family, my sister Sandra (Bob) Albrecht and their family, and my sister Pat’s husband Kent Griffin and their family.
Interment will be at Elysian Burial Gardens.
I would like to thank Starks Funeral Parlor for all of their kindness and caring for me and my family over the past several years.
Please remember me with love and laughter and not with sadness and tears!
In Loving Memory
Just wanted to express my love towards my sister-in law. Cindy you will be missed and I know that you are at peace and you are with loved ones who have passed on before you. I love you so much and will miss our phone calls, talking to you made me fill at peace, with every thing going on around us , it was nice to hear a friendly voice. This may sound crazy but now that you are gone who am I going to send letters to I really enjoyed sending you cards all the time, I heard it made your day when you would receive them. I'm glad I did it. you and Ed will always be in my thoughts I miss both of you so much, but I know that you both are happily together again. Cindy was my best friend from our early grade school years on. She knew me like few others. She was always a source of love and support in good times and bad. We shared many hours of laughter and many tears along the way. We had our share of mischief and enjoyed long heart-revealing talks. There is a huge vacancy in my heart with her passing. I am glad she is with Ed, her parents and sister again. I will miss her and ache to talk to her every day until we meet again. I love you Cindy. Thank you for being a cherished lifelong friend. I wish you peace. I love you.

I have so many sweet memories of my childhood playing with Cynthia. As cousins, we spent a great deal of time together each summer. Numerous sleepovers, trips to the Frost Top for burgers, and a short walk to the corner Drug Store for candy or soda. To this day I cannot eat a cherry licorice rope without thinking of her. I will miss her Christmas letters, but take comfort in knowing she is with her beloved Edward and loved ones that have gone before her. She was a grand lady and will be missed by all. I will always remember, Diane

Cindy Jewell is a very special eternal friend to us. We have known Ed & Cindy since Ed worked with Dick at Bennett's Glass & Paint and just before they were married. We hit it off and became life-time friends. Cindy's Birthday and our wedding anniversary are on the same day so we spent many years celebrating them together. Since it was around the 4th of July, We went to Bed & Breakfast Inns, Hotels, Park City and even places around Salt Lake. We had many great times together going to dinners and activities and spending MANY MANY nights playing games until wee hours in the morning. Lots of laughter & fun together! She had a great laugh! She was always thoughtful of her nieces and her dog. Sometimes she would take time out between games to call and check on them. Ed & Cindy have been our dearest friends for 43+ years. We miss them but know we will be able to see them again and enjoy their sweet spirits. We love you Cindy & Ed Jewell. All our love, Joyce & Dick Jeffs
