Dale George Schultz
September 12, 1959 - August 1, 2026
Dale George Schultz, a resident of Salt Lake City, Utah, was killed on August 1st in Twin Falls, Idaho. He was 66 years old.
Dale was born September 12 1959 in Salt Lake City to Glenn Lee Schultz Sr. and Betty Jean Wineriter.
He graduated from West High School in 1978 and served honorably as a Sergeant in the US Air Force from 1979-1983. He married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Reinette Warfield in June 1980.
Dale was baptized at The Cathedral of the Madeleine in 1997 and was a member of St. Olaf Catholic Church.
Dale was retired and living his best life. He had made plans to travel, go to concerts, various adventures, garden. He loved photography, as well as baseball and teaching his grandson how to play. He loved reading about new technology and aliens. Dale played in two pickleball leagues and won corn-hole championships with his son Brennen. He was an artist in many mediums including charcoal, pencil, acrylic, oil and clay, winning several awards at the state level.
He would help anyone in need at anytime. Dale showed love to those around him, was humble, gentle, strong, kind, understanding and hardworking.
He will be desperately missed by everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Reinette; their children Samantha Mafua, Paige Schultz and Brennen Schultz (Nina Done). He leaves behind beloved grandchildren Solomone and Elias Mafua, who he helped raise and were his joy; also siblings Jackson (Brenda), Glenn Jr., Betty (Kent) Hardman, and Cory McDonald. As well as in laws and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Steven.
The family requests privacy from the press at the following services to mourn their beloved family member peacefully.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, August 16 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 315 East 1800 South, Bountiful, where a vigil service will begin at 6:00 PM. Reception will follow. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 17, 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 331 East South Temple. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4th Avenue & “T” Street. Celebration of Life will follow from 3:00 until 5:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City.

I knew Dale and worked with him for many years in Salt Lake City at DuMac Inc., a Printing and Mailing facility in the downtown area. Dale worked as a Graphic Artist for our company. He was a kind person and a great employee. Our condolences go out to Reinette and family as I am sure he will be deeply missed.
Dear Betty, Words cannot express the grief you feel, nor can they fully convey my condolences sent, but memories can live forever. I pray you will retain every wonderful memory of Dale; (even those brotherly "pranks" that brothers impose on sisters and never seem quite as wonderful in the moment) and I pray all of those memories will combine into a fine tapestry that will provide comfort for you until that day you hold Dale in your arms again.
We are devastated in losing our neighbor Dale, we are heartbroken for your family! We love you and thank you for being such kind neighbors for all of these years.
