Dannette Duffin Uyeda
August 8, 1968 - November 17, 2015
Our family lost a truly remarkable, kind soul, Dannette “Danni” Duffin Uyeda on November 17, 2015. She had a lasting impact on all who knew her.
A devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Danni loved to help others with generosity and loyalty. She gave the ultimate gift of health as an organ donor.
Danni was born on August 8, 1968 in Salt Lake City, Utah. For the past several years, she had been extremely active in the Japanese Church of Christ, serving as church deacon, Nihon Matsuri Japan Festival chair, and Kenshin Taiko group event coordinator. Danni’s main focus was life with her family, including her faithful companion, Newt.
Danni is survived by husband of 25 years, Richard Uyeda; sons Josh and Tyler; mother Carole Duffin; sisters Justeene Blankenship and Toni (Milt) Druce; brothers Randy (Shannon) Duffin and Shane (Kelly) Duffin; mother-in-law Yuri Uyeda; four sisters-in-law; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father Lewis Duffin; and father-in-law Raymond Uyeda.
A celebration of Danni's life will be held Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the Japanese Church of Christ, 268 West 100 South, Salt Lake City, Utah. Casual attire.
