Danny Ray Griego

Danny (Dan) Ray Griego passed away at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah after battling with health issues.  

He was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. In his adult life he spent his time working with floor coverings and repairs. This encouraged an interest in all things home improvement. Everyplace he ever lived was fixed up better than he found it. Making things nicer and polishing things up was his way of bringing out the beauty in something left behind.

Dan had a passion for all things DIY, including cars, building a pergola for his daughter's wedding, rockhounding, and making jewelry. His hands-on craftsmanship left a forever impact on his children.

My Dad loved people and would talk and visit with anyone and everyone. He loved music and having fun. The Beatles were among his favorites. I will always think of my Dad when I hear the Beatles. He was funny with a big heart. He found joy in often helping others including strangers with car troubles, or stuck in the snow. He would always lend a helping hand. I will always love and remember my Dad as a complicated man with a big heart. 

Dan is survived by his children Shane, Cara (Paul), David, Anthony And his grandchildren Keisha, Harlow, Quentin,  Izzy, Carmine, Indigo, and Io. Brother Johnny and sister Ramona  and many other loving friends and family.

A celebration of life will be on September 19 , 2024 from 6-8 PM at Stark Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Guests are encouraged to use parking and entrance located on the north side of the building.
