Dave J. Ames
September 7, 1963 - March 26, 2022
Our beloved father, husband, son, brother, and friend David Ames, returned home to his father in heaven March 26th, 2022.
David passed away unexpectedly in his home, surrounded by his loved ones.
David was born September 7th, 1963; to Darlene Williams, and Junior Ames in Great Falls, Montana.
Dave had many joys in his life, but nothing thrilled him more then his family. He took great pride in showing off his children and grand children, bragging about them all, any time he had the chance.
He was a very selfless man, who would put anyone above himself and make sure you were always taken care of. He made his home known as “The forever home” for all he cared for.
Dave was known for his upbeat, positive Spirit. He enjoyed the simple things life had to offer, especially music. He was a very talented musician, and loved sharing the joys music can bring you with everyone he met.
Dave was known to do all he could to help any situation, even if it meant his own things wouldn’t be getting done. He was the first to step in to put a smile on your face, make you laugh, or have you join in on a silly voicemail greeting.
Dave’s family meant more to him then anything, and would always remind you that “there is always room for one more”. Because no family could ever be to big. He will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched.
Dave is survived by his Wife Jil Hale, his daughters Ashleigh Ames, Shelby Stiarwalt, Sacia Ames, Savannah Ames, Sara Hale; Grandchildren Ayden and Arianna Ames; Jaeyda, Azalea, and Nova Ames; Mother Darlene; and all of his siblings.
Although our hearts are heavy, Dave wouldn’t and didn’t want anyone to be sad. He wants you to celebrate his life and all the things he was able to enjoy.
A celebration of Dave's life will be on Friday, April 29, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City.
“Life is one grand, sweet song. So listen to the music “
In Loving Memory
I was SO SAD to hear about my brother, David, passing away. I know he is in a better place and pain free at last. He LOVED ALL OF HIS GIRLS AND GRANDKIDS SO MUCH!!!! He was the rock for all of them and will be truly missed!!! I will keep all of you in my prayers. He was the best brother and loved his family. He was a rocker at heart and loved his guitars and singing. He had the weirdest sense of humor and the most off the wall voice mail recordings lol. I love you David and miss you!!!! Cheryl
