David Evans Isaac III
August 7, 1948 - February 22, 2022
David Evans Isaac III died peaceful on February 22, 2022. He left this world holding the hands of his wife, Nora and his daughter, Michelle. He received Last Rites from his loving son-in-law, Fr. Tyler. Dave felt that having a Priest in the family meant he would be well prepared to meet the Lord .
Dave, Nora and Michelle traveled the world while Dave served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. He was very proud to serve his country and did so with fairness and honor.
He is survived by his wife, Nora, his daughter, Michelle, his son-in-law, Tyler and three wonderful, lively grandchildren: Maddie, Izzy and Clare. He also has a brother, aunts, uncles and so many friends who love him.
Dave loved playing golf, especially with Tyler although it got a little old never having the winning score. He joked all his life that he'd be playing on the Senior Golf tour someday. His sense of humor is loved by all who knew him. His friends nicknamed him the Walrus, noting his portly frame and large white mustache.
He was a man who liked a simple life. He was always very proud of his daughter. She was always his little girl. He adored his grandkids. He played house with them, video games, told stories, and always had hugs for them. His grandkids especially cherish the many rounds of poker he played with them. He was generous, kind, and funny. There was never a question that family came first for him. Dave always felt lucky that he had a wonderful life. He will be truly missed by many who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted by the Cathedral Church of Saint Mark or the Make a Wish Foundation.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Cathedral Church of Saint Mark on March 3rd, at 11am with a committal at Mount Olivet for family members.
