David Wayne Allen
7/14/1944 – 12/18/2010
Our husband and father passed away on December 18th, 2010, after a long illness. David was born in Cape Girardeau, MO to James and Hazel Allen. His family moved to Southern California when he was 6 years old. Dave moved to Utah in 1968 where he met and married his wife Meri in 1975. They have 6 children Jaymz (Aquila) Allen, Amber (Mac) McIntyre, David Fikes, Adam (Erin) Fikes, Dennis Allen, and Billy Allen; 13 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandson. Dave is also survived by his brothers James Allen, Jerry Allen, and sister Carol Cole.
Dave was a jack-of-all-trades and held many jobs before he had to retire due to illness. Dave was a friend to all and a father to many of the neighborhood kids. He will be missed.
Services will be held on Wednesday, December 22nd, at 11:00 AM at the West Valley 1st Ward, 3963 Peachwood Dr. (3480 West) West Valley, with a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment to follow at Murray City Cemetery.

Dear Meri and family, We wish to extend our condolences to you at the passing of your husband. We often recall our many years in the West Valley Stake. Of special memory will be the opportunity to serve as Home Teacher to your family for some time. Perhaps the death of a loved one at this season can be difficult, but it can also provide special blessings of comfort as we celebrate not only Christ's birth but his redeeming mission. Our best to you. Richard and JoAn Dahl

I am truly sorry for you loss. I pray the sure hope found in the bible will bring comfort to your hearts. "The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear the voice of Christ and come out." John 5:28,29 Acts 24:15

There are many things i wish i told him before he passed. But one thing, in particular, is that i love him.
