David William Farr II

December 19, 1983 - February 12, 2013

David William Farr II was born December 19, 1983 in Vernal, UT. to David William Farr & Teri Lynn Charest. He passed away on February 12, 2013 in Salt Lake City, UT.

Our David, Dave, Davey.  Our smart, handsome, funny, outgoing, creative, crazy-fun, tattooed, beautiful, blue-eyed boy.  David was a bright star who had a smile that lit up the room and eyes that twinkled in the manliest of ways! David dedicated much of his life to skateboarding and snowboarding.  He was extremely artistic with his hands and used them to build and create.  He loved and was loved by all who knew him, especially his little girl, Brightyn, who was the light of his life. David always gave 100 percent to everything he did and got annoyed if you didn't do the same.

David was the best daddy, brother, son, uncle, boyfriend, and friend and we are all better people for having known him and having him in our lives.  David is survived by his daughter, Brightyn; his parents; step-father, Bruce Charest; Granddad, Gene McFarland; Grandpa, Sherm Toone; Grandmother, Margaret Farr; big sis, Malishia (Gavin) Kindall; other big sis, Nicolette Farr; little brother, Julian Charest; nieces and nephews, Marlee, Jalen, Azya, Jeton, and Ciera; and soul mate, Taffa.  David is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by Grandfather, Bill Farr; Grandmother, Alma Toone; Grandpa Schrieken; and "big brother" Anthony Doyle.

Friends are invited to celebrate David's life at a wake on Sunday, February 17th from 6:00-8:00pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City.

In Loving Memory

We're going to miss you Dave! Loved seeing you every Sunday for dinner at Mom and Dad's place, loved Brightyn (Vivian's "bestest cousin"), loved the fact you could get up from a dinner table on short notice, grab a shovel, dig a four-foot deep trench and fix a broken water pipe so Kathryn's father didn't have to. Loved that you loved Kathryn. Was looking forward to a brother-in-law that could hike Timpanogos with me. What a great guy...love you Dave.

To David's Family, especially Teri and David, I don't know what possessed me to look on line today to see if I could find Margaret Farr, only to find this obituary. I am so very, very sorry. I did not know David, but I lived with the two of you a very long time ago while married to Rick, and you have always held a special place in my heart. I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Please extend my condolences to the rest of the family, especially Margaret, Malishia and Nicollette and Julian. With much love, From you ex-s-I-law, Catherine.

Yo Matt. You're sounding duceoiragsd, frustrated. I hear you. Reading this post brought it home to me how different it is for you where you are (Kenya) from where I am (Tallahassee). I have been trying to sit and do nothing as regularly as I can. It's mostly in the morning during prayer. You know something I've learned? I can't do nothing! I watch my mind wander from thought to thought and give that distraction to the Lord. Then I'll have a moment of clarity in the Presence before the next thought surfaces to distract me again from His Presence. So I again give that care to the Lord, Lord, you can have that one too. It's interesting to observe the things that preoccupy my mind. My goal is to spend time in quiet contemplation, aware of God's Presence. I know He is omnipresent. I just forget that he is present in all at all times. Contemplative prayer is helping me recognize the divine in myself (created in the image of the Giver of Life). I think that this helps me see Jesus in everyone. I hope this makes some sort of sense to you. I thank God that He is making all things new and we are part of His new Creation. I love you, man.

pepole are pepole Hands down, Apple's app store wins by a mile. It's a huge seicetlon of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad seicetlon of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on the future if this
