Deondre Douglas Baldwin

June 18, 1996 - September 3, 2016

Deondre Douglas Baldwin was reunited with his grandpa on September 3, 2016.

He was born to Micah Palmer and Douglas Baldwin on June 18, 1996 in Pocatello, ID where he was raised and attended Tyhee Elementary School in Chubbuck. When he was 11 years old, he moved to Salt Lake City with his family and attended Mount Jordan Middle School and Lone Peak High School. He started playing baseball at the age of 7 and it became obvious of his talent as an athlete and his love for the game leading his team as starting pitcher and clean-up hitter and many, many home runs. He also played football and was a loyal fan of the Denver Broncos. He loved boating, wakeboarding, camping and hiking, and always looked forward to spending time with his family, who, along with Desirea, the love of his life, were the most important things to him. Deondre was adventurous. He was strong and courageous. He was a car kid and a dream mechanic. He was working as a Lube Tech at Grease Monkey in Lehi where he brought much laughter to all of his co-workers through jokes and pranks. His contagious laugh and beaming smile brought joy to all those who surrounded him at any given moment.

He is survived by his parents; sisters Aaliyah (16 years old), Chevee (5 years old); his best friend and the love of his life Desirea; grandmothers Nancy Fullmer Palmer of Blackfoot, ID and Sherry Mitchell of California; uncles Carter (Angela) Palmer, Brady (Lisa) Palmer, Bobby (Amy) Baldwin; cousins Rhett, Bailey, Catlin, Braylin, Adilee, Rayce, Kaylie, Gracie, Seth, Noah and Abby.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 7th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Please use complimentary valet parking provided on the north side of the building. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 8th at 12:00 noon at This Is The Place Heritage Park "The Garden Place" located at 2601 East Sunnyside Avenue, Salt Lake City, where friends may view one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South, Salt Lake City.

Alma Romero

Eagle, Id

I'm sorry for the loss of your dear loved one, Deondra, May you find comfort, Jehovah, in his word, the bible, in Psalms 34:18: Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted, He saves those who are crushed in spirit. God's word also says in Isaiah 25:8: He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all face....For Jehovah himself has spoken it. (Psalms 83:18; Titus 1:2) Isaiah 33;24; Revelation 21:3-5; / John 5:28,29; John 11:25,26; Acts 24:15. This is what God's Kingdom, under Jesus Christ rulership, will accomplish in the very near future, for all those who love righteousness. The true God, also promises in his word, in Psalms 37:11,29:.The meek will possess the earth, And they will find exquisite in the abundance of peace 29: The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it. Psalms 104:5; Psalms 115:16; Ecclesiastes 1:4; Job 33:25; Isiah 35:5,6; Isaiah 65:21,22; Psalms 37:34. (New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures)
