Destiny Maurie Gibson
Our Little Cuddlebug
After a lifelong battle with Neurofibromatosis Destiny was taken home on September 15, 2011. Destiny loved the Lord and is now dancing with angels in heaven. She will be missed desperately by her family and friends who remain.
She was born a Valentine’s Day baby on February 14, 1986 in Salt Lake City to Bonnie Kay and Darren Michael Solock. Understanding the pain of her disease, her heart’s desire was to be an advocate for others with Neurofibromatosis so that she may ease their suffering. Destiny was a compassionate and loving person with a fearless heart of gold. She loved animals, the color pink and she loved to cuddle.
Destiny grew up best friends with her mother who preceded her death due to the same disease that plagued Destiny; she is also met in heaven by her father (who passed away in April of this year); and her Grandpa Gibson.
She leaves behind her grandfather David (Doris) Solock; grandmother Jolene Walker; grandmother Jeanette Gibson; uncle Rocky Noland; aunt Jenean Thom; BFF Kim; and many many other family and friends who adore her.
In honor of Destiny, PLEASE WEAR PINK and join her family as we Celebrate her Life on Monday, September 19th at 12:00 PM at the Salt Lake Christian Center, 4300 South 700 East, Salt Lake City.
