Don Bennett

Donald Bennett passed away on July 2, 2023.

Don was born in August of 1937 in Sacramento California.His parents were Glenn and Thelma Bennett. Don was raised and educated in Sacramento California. Don joined the Army as a young man and was stationed at the Presido in San Francisco. After the military Don graduated from Sacramento State.

Don had friends who lived in San Francisco and he would visit them. On one trip he met the love of his life Jane Michael Gaffney. They were married in 1963. They had two children. Don worked as a consultant and many of his contracts had him conducting business across the country. Don retired in 2000. He and the love of his life Michael traveled the globe. They both loved an adventure and doing so together.

Don also loved playing the piano and telling jokes. He taught himself how to play the piano and was very talented. So was his joke telling

Don lost the love of his life in 2013. This event was an absolutely devastating blow for him. He carried on and lived his life. He developed symptoms of dementia and he gave it a good fight until his death. He is survived by two sons, six grand children, and one great grandchild.

Don touched so many people’s lives. He truly wanted to help and improve the lives of working people. He will be dearly missed by us all who had the opportunity to know him. “Love to all.”
