Dorothy Mae Jackson Hornedo

September 18, 1956 - March 1, 2012

Dorothy Mae Jackson Hornedo

“Dee” “Angel”

Born September 18, 1956 in Brooklyn, NY, died March 1, 2012 in Salt Lake City from the worst disease known to man: ALS (Lou Gehrig’s).  She moved to Salt Lake City in 2002 to be with her true love, Dan Smith.  She worked at Dan’s Foods Cottonwood for seven and a half years.

She made life-long friends in five minutes and her laughter would cause everyone in ear-shot to laugh.

Dorothy was Catholic and was blessed by Fr. Dave the day before she died.

She is survived by the love of her life, Dan Smith and his family: children and great friends Tony, Ronnie (Greg), Keri (Kris); grandchildren Brettney and Cody.  She also leaves behind her sons Manuel and Jason; daughter Tanya; numerous grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister Shirley.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sheila.

Dorothy will be laid to rest in her home-state of New York.

Family extends love and appreciation to Community Nursing Services, who have been our “angels”.

To Dorothy's family, how lucky you were to have Dorothy in your lives. She sounds like a very dear person who would add merit to anyone's association. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Surely she is with you always.

What's up foot that other page is gtteing real far down n gtteing to be a pain to keep scrolling down withmy phone. The guy offered me Austin farve n Ronnie brown for best Jennings forte. I didn't decline but I offered back Jackson best cutler for brown Austin n manning. I think he dosent want Jackson but I'm trying not to give up Jennings so if he dosent like that then he may take best n forte 4 Austin n brown but was looking to get maybe another qb since mine aren't producing but I believe in schaub and think he should be fine.

Presumably you posit this view based on the fact that NFL defenses will not be foloed, so-to-speak, by such gadget play calling due to their higher-than-college-level skillset and football acumen. However, the talent level of the offensive players and coaches around Cobb will also be greater (one may even go so far as to say substantially so) in Green Bay, so who is to say that they won't be able to utilize the upgraded talent to some positive effect? Obviously it won't work every time, or even the majority of the time, but as mentioned in the quotation above, if employed sparingly and in the proper situations, it could be quite effective. After all, if the Dolphins saw success (albeit diminishing over time) with Ronnie Brown taking Wildcat snaps, does it not bode even better, given Cobb's skillset and the arguably much better talent/coaching in Green Bay, for the Packers? In any event, I recall seeing a link (which I did not follow) to an article which indicated that McCarthy has mentioned that they didn't draft Cobb in order to run Wildcat plays.

I only knew you for a short time Dee, but it seemed much longer as I got to know you & some of your family of whom you dearly loved. You were a strong yet gentle soul. You were the first person to make me feel welcomed @ Dans. I missed you when you left & I will miss you now you've gone. I'm grateful to God for finally setting your beautiful soul free. You are whole once again dear Dee!
