In Loving Memory

As pastor of St. Augustine Parish in Spokane it was my privilege to know Dorothy and Herbert for many years. I was able to celebrate Mass for their jubilee of marriage. Dorothy was a dedicated Catholic who loved her faith. She was an inspiration to others. I know you will miss her but be certain that she will remember all of you before the throne of God. Msgr. I never directly met Dorothy, but I am appreciative of her life efforts in raising her family. It was a job well done as I witness her son Todd daily and his love of life, family and friends.

Dear Mary Evelyn, We saw the Obituary about your mother, Dorothy, in the Sunday paper. There was that wonderful smiling face. How many good memories it stimulated . . . from shared meals and cups of tea, and conversations on the deck behind the house to the beautifully decorated Christmas Trees. We have so many wonderful memories of Herbert and Dorothy. When Roger sang Ave Maria and Panis Angelicus on their 50th Wedding Anniversary, it was the last time he sang publicly, a treasured memory! Thank you too Mary Evelyn for the candied almonds and other good Erickson Family Memories. Our condolences to your siblings please. With Love from, Roger &'Alisi Kane Spokane, WA

Dorothy Erickson was a wonderful person, who lived her Catholic faith in a manner seldom seen. If I searched my mind for a person that has truly exemplified the best of Christianity, it would be Dorothy that I would choose. We offer our condolences to the extended Erickson family. Dorothy now is in the presence of a loving and merciful God, and has, at long last been re-united with her two departed sons, and her husband. May she rest in Peace

To the Erickson Family, We are sorry to hear of your loss. We should all be so fortunate to live such a long and inspirational life. We will always remember Dorothy's cheerful disposition, her welcoming smile, and her wonderful sense of humor. We are reminded of a time, when Joe was visiting our home, when we were well into our 30's. Just as we were seated for dinner, the phone rang and it was Dorothy calling for Joe. So as not to interupt dinner, she simply asked that Joe be reminded to "brush his teeth after dinner and again before bed". We all had a good laugh with due appreciation for her quick wit. May God bless you always and especially now in your time of grief. Sincerely, Bob and Sonja MacDonald
