Ed will dearly be missed. He was such a proud father and husband. His girls meant the world to him. He was the nicest, caring person you could ever know, once you peeled back the layers. He used tough love, but it always worked. Ed and his family were part of my family for so many years. Ed would always help me with my homework, and taught me to love sandwiches made with tortillas! I know you are no longer in pain. Maybe you and my dad are sharing a cigar right now! I'm sure my dad welcomed you with open arms, as he always thought so much of you and the Soliz family. Rest in peace my sweet friend! We will meet again some day. To Sarah, Starr and Char, no words can make the hurt go away, and time doesn't make it better, but it will make if different! Lean on each other! And know your other family member in Texas is here for you!

I met Eddie,  (as I called him in school) , when I  started hanging out with Violet in high school.  He had such a dry sense of humor, but he always made me laugh.  I really adored that guy.  To Char and to his daughters,  and to Vi and Victor , I  am so deeply sorry for your loss.

I have many memories of Ed.  I had the privilege of working with him and admired how knowledgeable and talented he was.  He took his career seriously and wouldn’t compromise quality.  It was nice having such a knowledge base if I ever had a home project I needed advice on. He was a wonderful cook and had several dishes he perfected that were shared with co-workers. We all looked forward to when Ed made his salsa, which was hands down the best I’ve ever tasted.  His smoked salmon was amazing.    As time went on, our paths were diverted.  Fortunately, they were reunited in the last few months and I was able to spend a little time to reconnect.  What a blessing it was to have the opportunity to catch up with Ed and Char.  What an awesome couple!  Ed will be sorely missed.

Oh Ed, I'm gonna miss you! thank you so much for our calls & texts. I was looking so forward to our Alaska Fishing Trip with you and Char when you got better. I'll never forget the time when I was young, you all pulled in the driveway at my mom & dad's house parking right behind my car a little white Fiero. The first thing you said was "where the hell did you get that squashed marshmallow looking thing" ‍♀️ I hope when I get to Alaska you and Uncle Ruben will be right there with me. God speed my Cousin, my friend! -Love ya Tam
