Edith Rhea Brown Weske 1946 ~ 2011. Edith Rhea Brown Weske, loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away at home surrounded by her family, July 16, 2011 of causes incident to Ahlzeimer’s. Edie, as she was known, was born in Artesia, Ca on May 5, 1946 to Kenneth Elwood Brown and Anna Mae Qualls Brown.

 

She graduated from Savannah High School. She married Robert Weske in 1967 and they were sealed together for time and eternity in 1974. Bob and Edie have five children: Tamara L. Shiveley (Don); Craig R. Weske (Tracy); Brent C. Weske (Cheri); Paul F. Weske (Tiffany); David J. Weske. Edie is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, sister Karen Lee Brown Morris, brothers Guy Edward Brown and James Helms. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Ada Lisa Brown Clements (July 5, 2011). Edie and Bob have 8 grandchildren. Edie loved being around her grandchildren, siblings, and family. Edie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was dedicated to her faith throughout her life.  She served as a Relief Society President, in the Primary, Young Women’s, and Sunday School.  She lived her testimony and encouraged others to follow the example of the Savior through her actions. Edie was loyal to her friends and family throughout her life and her dedication to us will be deeply missed.  Thanks to Inspiration Hospice for their tender and loving care.

 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the West Jordan River 8th Ward, 7400 South 1300 West, West Jordan, Utah. A viewing will be held an hour before the service. Interment will be in the West Jordan City Cemetery.

I will always have awesome memories of Edie, thanks for being a second mother to me growing up for I needed all the help in the world. My thoughts and prayers go the Weskes. Sorry I could not have made it. Love Brett
