Edna E. Zaelit
1924-2011
Edna E. Zaelit, 86, passed away February 2, 2011, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Edna was born on March 10, 1924, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Michael and Sophia Zaelit. She graduated from the University of Utah at a young age of 23. She worked at the Bureau of Land Management as a drafts person, and then spent the rest of her career as an executive secretary at E. O. Muir Produce. Edna loved to travel and went to exotic places like Hong Kong, Brussels, Paris, Ireland, and London. She loved going to local events and family sports.
She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings Joe (Virginia), Lou (Florence), Ernest, Adele (Lester), Emily, Marie (Dilver), Tom, John (Margie). She is survived by her sister Lucille, sister-in-law Rachel, and many nieces and nephews. We would like to thank everyone who helped care for Edna in her final days.
A viewing will be held at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, SLC, on Friday, February 4, 2011 from 6:00-8:00pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Ann Catholic Church, 450 East 2100 South, SLC, on Saturday, February 5, 2011, at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary, 4th Avenue “T” Street.
