Elayne C. Wimmer Pacheco
November 18, 1940 - July 4, 2020
Elayne Charmaine Wimmer Pacheco was born on November 18, 1940 to Elwood Wimmer and Evelyn Martin (Wimmer Hilden). She was the eldest of seven children. Elayne believed in the Power of Positive Thinking and helping those less fortunate than her. She was a powerful advocate for nursing home reform, a union organizer, and a home health nurse. Elayne was very artistic and loved to quilt, sew, crochet, and paint. She was very fond of cats! While living in Ohio, she rescued many feral cats, seeing that they were fed, spayed and neutered. Elayne loved the mountains and it was fortunate that her final year was spent close to them.
The family is grateful to Tom, Cheryl and Kendra Dubach (McGrath) for opening their home and helping to insure Elayne’s last year was comfortable.
Elayne is preceded in death by her children, Eddie and Ellie Hannon, and by her grandson David Shane. Elayne is survived by her siblings Walter Wimmer (Jeanette), Anita Poulton (Brent), Cheryl Dubach (Tom), Karlette Jackson (Jim), David Hilden (Linda), and Lisa Hilden (Greg). She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Rest in Peace Elayne, we love you.
A celebration of Elayne's life will be held at a later date.

In Loving Memory
To the family, my sincere condolences for your loss. Please find comfort in the knowledge that God promises to end all suffering. Before long, God will wipe out every tear from our eyes, and “death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things (will) have passed away.”(Rev. 21:3,4). May this promise from God give you comfort now and a real hope for the future. My deepest sympathy.
