Elias passed away on August 3, 2008 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born July 27, 1940 the 9th of 13 to Pacomio and Rebecca Archibeque in Mancos, Colorado. He married Cindy Galvan January 16, 1968. Together they had two sons Elias Jr. and Dominic. Elias proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He spent 35 dedicated years working along side his family and lots of friends at Superior Insulation.
Elias was happiest when he was with his family. He taught his children and grandchildren the golden rule and instilled in them valuable lessons of kindness. He had a strong faith in God that he also passed along to his family. Elias was a humble man who was thankful to God for whatever he had. He is dearly loved and will be missed.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years; son Dominic (Jennie); daughter-in-law Lisa; 5 grandchildren; 1.5 great grandchildren; siblings Gilbert (Alice), Enoch (Nancy), Pacomio (Linda), Toni (Victor) Brown, Sophie Stevenson, Madeline Brown, Ruth Jordan, Betty (David) Nipper, Frances Clark, Becky Likes. Preceded in death by his parents; son Elias Jr.; brothers Victor and George; and grand-mother Julia Esparza.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 7th at 11:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4501 West 5215 South, Kearns. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 6th from 6 to 8 pm with a Vigil at 7:00 PM, also at the church.
