ELoise Overman Lindquist

May 13, 1936 - February 21, 2018

It is our greatest sorrow that our beloved mother, grandmother, GG, aunt, cousin and friend, ELoise Overman Lindquist passed away surrounded by her family in Murray UT on the evening of February 21, 2018 at the age of 81.

ELoise was born to Ruth and Archibald Overman in Lehi UT on May 13, 1936. She was the middle of three children, younger sister Beverly (Rex) and older brother Norman (Delene).  ELoise adored her younger sister and idolized her older brother. She often reveled in fond memories of their experiences, antics and exploits from childhood to adulthood. She also spoke in great detail of her time as a teenager working with Norman and her cousin (best friend) Arloween at the family owned Camark Theatre in South Salt Lake.

ELoise married Robert O Lindquist Sr. in Nevada and had two children, Robert O Lindquist Jr. (Wendy) and Susan Redmond (Dony). ELoise loved working and ran a number of offices including AET Environmental until her health pushed her into retirement. She had many passions; traveling, golf, playing cards, Bunko, and attending book club with her many dear friends. She loved art and oil painted many beautiful pieces for her family.

Her greatest passion was the love she had for her family. Her mother, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant everything to her. There was reciprocated devotion between ELoise and her grandchildren and they will always remember the quality time she spent with them; having sleepovers, swimming, going for walks and golfing. She was a wonderful mother-in-law and loved Wendy and Dony as her own.

ELoise was a tiny little Spitfire with amazing strength, quick wit, sharp intellect and a kind nature. She was beyond her time and left a legacy and expectation of honesty, humility, integrity and acceptance of all.

Our beautiful mom, grandma, aunt and friend, we will miss you and that incredible fire, your unconditional love, comfort, and gentle guidance. You were and are, our foundation, our pillar, our everything. We will see, feel and remember you in every spark and glimmer of light. We look forward to being with you again and maybe even playing a round of golf.

ELoise is survived by her son Robert (Wendy), daughter Susan (Dony), 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her parents, sister and brother.

A Celebration of ELoise’s life will be held Saturday March 10th 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 S 900 E, Salt Lake City. All friends and family are welcome in this celebration.  Guests are encouraged to use the complimentary valet parking provided on the north side of the building.
