In Loving Memory

Emily was one of the first people to welcome me (Jennifer) when I started attending the Orthodox Church. She was always so kind and joyful. She truly cared about everyone she met! She made us all feel like family. I fondly remember her and how warm she was to me when I was just a teenager, and after that, how excited I was for her to meet my husband, and later see each each of my children. She was a blessing! May her memory be eternal!

My first (Dymphna) opportunity to get to know Emily was during our women’s pilgrimage in the spring of ‘22. She had such a joyful spirit and was always quick to embrace those she loved with the biggest hug. I will fondly remember Emily for her tender spirit. While I am washed with a sense of sorrow, there is a stronger feeling of believing I will see her again and that we will reunite with that same signature hug of hers. She is a beloved soul and I’m so grateful to God that I had the honor of calling her friend. As the Creed powerfully declares: I look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen

For the briefest moments I've (Esther) talked to Emile I couldn't help but want to stay and talk more. She radiated warmth and kindness even during her own struggles and provided much with very little. My condolences to Paul and the rest of the family. May her memory be eternal.
