Erma LaVon Emmons
April 18, 1924 - October 30, 2010
Erma Emmons was reunited with her family in heaven at 12:52 AM on a Saturday morning in her warm bed at home all snuggled up.
Our loving Mother, Grandma, Great Grandma Erma, Aunt Em, Sister and Best Friend was born the fifth of ten children on April 18, 1924 to Olive LaRene Caldwell and Percy Wallace Mounteer.
Erma had nine children. She is survived by children Michael Willard (Beverly) Ruth, Joe “Butch” Lee (Ida) Ruth, Erma “Dolly” (Raymond) Hultgren, Nora “Reney” LaRene (John) Sizemore, Wendy Dawn Spencer, Monty Charles (Bev) Emmons Sr.; 27 grandchildren; 49+ great-grandchildren; siblings Sarah Kline, Claude (Pat) Pounteer, Verl (Pete) Mounteer.
Preceded in death by parents; children William “Bucky” Ruth, Franklin D. Ruth, Ronald Dean Emmons Sr.; siblings Vardella Shaw, Ted Mounteer, Bud Mounteer, Pat Mounteer and a baby brother.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 3rd at 2:00 at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Rd, West Jordan. Friends may call upon the family at a viewing on the same day from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City.
A special thanks goes out to Christina, her nurse she had for five years; and to CNS Hospice for doing a wonderful job; also Dr. Zackerson and staff for many years taking care of her.
We love you Mom and miss you so much. We will meet again soon.
